MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – SAN JOSE, CALIF May 5, 2008 – The San Francisco Giants have announced that eleven-time Gold Glove winner Omar Vizquel is scheduled to make a rehab assignment for the San Jose Giants on Tuesday, May 6th. The San Jose Giants take on the Lake Elsinore Storm at Municipal Stadium at 7:00 PM, gates open at 5:30 PM.

Vizquel played today in a rehab start for the Fresno Grizzlies (AAA). He played five innings at shortstop and went 1-for-3 at the plate, singling up the middle to lead off the first inning. Vizquel was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 21, due to left knee surgery.

The San Jose Giants return home on Tuesday, May 6th at 7:00 PM against the Lake Elsinore Storm.
