Shreveport Sports Add OF Vince Blue and IF Michael Lewis to Team

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – With the loss of three players in trades (Ron Fenwick and Adam Hale to St. Paul) and (Matt Clayman to Lincoln) the Shreveport Sports have added two new players to their roster.

Outfielder Vince Blue and infielder Michael Lewis have joined the club today.  Neither player has played pro ball this season.  However, Blue was originally selected by the Tigers in the 10th round of the 2001 draft.  He played in the Tigers organization through last season, finishing up at Class AAA Toledo in the International League where he hit .167 in 11 games.  His best year was 2005 at Lakeland in the Class A Florida State League where he hit .297.  After being released by the Tigers last year, he played in the Atlantic League at Lancaster (PA) and Bridgeport (CN) where he hit .233 and .234 respectively.

Michael Lewis finished his college career this past spring at William Carey University in Hattiesburg (MS).  In 55 games this year, Lewis hit .398 with 1 HR and 26 RBI’s.  He had 21 stolen bases in 24 attempts.
