Edgar Gonzalez Agrees To Terms With Oakland A's On Minor League Deal

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Edgar Gonzalez on a minor league contract, the club announced today. Gonzalez will be a non-roster invitee to Spring Training.
Gonzalez was 1-3 with a 6.00 ERA in 17 games, six starts, for Arizona last year. He was placed on the disabled list June 28 with a right elbow sprain and missed the Diamondbacks’ final 82 games. The 25-year old right-hander began the season in Arizona’s starting rotation and was 1-2 with a 6.00 ERA in his six starting assignments. Gonzalez made his major league debut with the Diamondbacks in 2003 and has compiled a 14-21 record and 5.97 ERA in 80 games, 35 starts, over six seasons. He had his best season in 2007 when he was 8-4 with a 5.03 ERA in 32 games, 12 starts.
