Richard Robnett Promoted to IL Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees

Trenton, NJ - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that OF Richard Robnett has been promoted from Trenton to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Triple-A).  
 
Robnett appeared in nine games for Trenton since being signed by the Yankees, and added to the Thunder roster on June 12.  The outfielder batted .348 with an RBI and three runs scored.

Robnett appeared in a combined 38 games this season for the Cubs organization between Tennessee (Double-A) and Iowa (Triple-A).  In the Southern League for Tennessee, Robnett appeared in 30 games and batted .184 with two home runs and eight RBI.  The Santa Monica. California native only appeared in eight games for Iowa and batted .143 with one RBI.  The 5-foot-10 left-hander was originally drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the first round of the 2004 draft.
