Sioux Falls Skyforce Announce 2008-09 D-League Schedule

Sioux Falls, S.D. (August 12, 2008) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce begins their 20th season on Friday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. CST when they host the Iowa Energy at the Sioux Falls Arena.
 
The Skyforce-Energy contest is the first of 50 regular season games for Sioux Falls, 24 of which will take place at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Skyforce will also participate in the 2009 NBA D-League Showcase that will take place from Jan. 5-8 at McKay Events Center in Orem, Utah.
 
Sioux Falls plays 21 of its 24 home games on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, including the annual Christmas Night game on Thursday, Dec. 25 against the rival Dakota Wizards. Fans will see 14 different visiting teams take the court at the Sioux Falls Arena, including first-ever visits from expansion teams in Erie (BayHawks) and Reno (Bighorns).
 
Also highlighting the 2008-09 NBA D-League schedule is the All-Star Game and Dream Factory which will be part of NBA Jam Session presented by adidas at NBA All-Star 2009 in Phoenix.
 

The NBA D-League will continue to have three divisions for the 2008-09 season. The Central and Southwest Divisions will feature five teams, while the West Division will have six. The Sioux Falls Skyforce will play in the Central Division and will face divisional foes seven times during the regular season while squaring off with non-division opponents twice.
 
The divisions for the 2008-09 season will break down as follows:
