Matt Foy Activated Off IR For Arizona Sundogs
Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 03:37PM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. – Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro announced today the team has activated forward Matt Foy from the 14-day I.R. and has placed defenseman Thomas Roussel on the 14-day I.R.
Foy, 26, appeared in just one game with Arizona prior to being placed on the 14-day I.R. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound forward registered two shots and two PIM in the Sundogs’ opening night contest against the expansion Allen Americans.
A former sixth round pick (175th overall) of the Minnesota Wild in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Foy appeared in 56 games with the NHL club over three seasons, recording six goals, seven assists and 48 penalty minutes (PIM).
Roussel, 23, has appeared in nine games with Arizona this season, recording 12 shots, two assists, four penalty minutes (PIM) and a plus-2 rating.
