NABL Brings Professional Basketball to Pacific Northwest

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -Seattle, WA - The National Athletic Basketball League (NABL), a new professional minor league, is proud to bring exciting basketball to the Pacific Northwest in the spring of 2010. This new league offers six franchises that will play in the league's inaugural season to basketball fans across the area. The NABL staff bring over 14 years of minor league experience to the league, and they are excited to also bring prestigious franchises such as the Salem Stampede, Seattle Mountaineers, Tacoma Thunder, and the Snohomish County Explosion. These teams are known for having top-caliber players and each franchise holds many records in their previous leagues.

The league is setup similar to the NBA where each ownership group owns a percentage of the league and requires owners to vote on major items including expansion, rules, and compliance between teams. The league projects strong growth in the Pacific Northwest and beyond due to the close proximity and rivalry between teams.

“This week begins the start of the National Athletic Basketball League with many exciting announcements," said NABL co-founder Joe Becerra, owner of the Salem Stampede in Oregon. "We are currently finishing up the league schedule and are working with officiating crew and the new NABL Franchise owners."

“For the fans of Basketball in Snohomish County, this new league was a must,” explained Explosion owner Nathan Mumm. “We had Devon Greene last year on the team who led the league in scoring and we needed to improve the competition level of talent we played.” Nathan Mumm is excited that this new league will increase the level of competition and provide a better experience for both players and basketball fans of all types.

I like the teams I hope this works out but you know a lot of minor league try this an never take off. Anything is better than the IBL though.
