The Shreveport-Bossier Captains broke a 1-1 tie with four runs in the
fourth inning to take a 5-1 lead and would roll from there to a 7-2
victory over the Fort Worth Cats. RF Dwayne White was 4-for-5 at the plate
with two RBI to lead the Captains offense. Shreveport-Bossier 1B Andres
Rodriguez and LF Jose Torres each chipped in with two hits apiece.
Captains starter Logan Williamson improved his record to 4-2 with the win.
Williamson went 6 1/3 innings allowing one earned run on five hits with
six strikeouts. Fort Worth DH Pat O'Sullivan went 2-for-4 with a run
scored to extend his league record hitting streak to 25 games.

The Lincoln Saltdogs, behind a good performance from starting pitcher Jim
Paduch, beat the St. Paul Saints at Midway Stadium Monday and win their
seventh straight game. Paduch went seven innings allowing three hits and
three walks while striking out five batters. With the win, Paduch evens
his record at 3-3 on the year. Saltdogs SS Albenis Machado went 2-for-3
with two runs scored and 1B Phil Hawke had a 1-for-3 night with a first
inning two-run home run. DH Jacob Butler and RF Brent Krause had two-hit
nights for St. Paul.
