Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 09:17AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Manchester, NH- Scott Richmond scattered four hits and struck out seven batters over seven innings to notch his first career Eastern League victory as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats defeated the New Britain Rock Cats, 4-2, before 2,324 fans at Merchantsauto.com Stadium on Tuesday night.
Jacob Butler (1-for-3, HR, RBI, R) gave New Hampshire (3-8) a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning with an opposite-field home run, his first, off losing pitcher Ryan Mullins (1-1).
The Fisher Cats built their lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the third inning when Ryan Klosterman (1-for-4, 2B, R) doubled, advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on Chris Guttierez’s single to right field.
Richmond (1-2) made only one mistake, serving up a solo home run to Brock Peterson (1-for-4, HR, RBI, R), his second, over the right field wall with one out in the top of the seventh inning, trimming New Hampshire’s lead to 2-1.
Erik Kratz (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) knocked in two runs with an eighth inning single off Rock Cats’ reliever Ben Julianel, making it a 4-1 game.

ADVERTISEMENT Mike Gallo earned his first save, despite allowing Luke Hughes’ solo home run in the top of the ninth inning.
Mullins allowed two runs on six hits in six innings for New Britain (5-5), striking out two and walking one.
The Fisher Cats and Rock Cats play the rubber match of their three-game series Wednesday morning at 11:05am when right-hander Brandon Magee (0-1, 6.10) takes the mound for New Hampshire against New Britain right-hander Anthony Swarzak (1-0, 0.90).
