Durham Bulls Double Up the Louisville Bats 10-5 - International League

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com –

DURHAM, NC—The Bulls let their bats do the talking Friday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park as they pounded Western Division-leading Louisville 10-5.

Mike DiFelice had his best offensive game of the year, ending the evening just a triple shy of the cycle while scoring twice and driving home three runs. Chris Richard erupted with a three-run home run in the first inning, and Joel Guzman added a solo shot in the seventh.

Wade Davis (2-0, 2.08) earned his second win in as many starts since his promotion from Double-A Montgomery, pitching six innings and allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six Bats. Louisville’s Ben Jukich (0-1, 8.68) never recovered after pitching to 10 Bulls in Durham’s five-run first inning, allowing eight runs—five earned—on nine hits and a walk in five innings of work.

The Bulls and Bats meet again Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park for the second game out of four. Olympic-bound righty Jeremy Cummings (7-3, 2.95) will start for Durham and southpaw Bobby Livingston (0-1, 7.94) will take the mound for Louisville.
