Vancouver Canadians Rout the Tri-City Dust Devils 6-1 - Northwest League

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com –

(Gesa Stadium - Pasco, WA) - The Vancouver Canadians walked into Tri City and kept on walking as the Dust Devils scored three runs off of RHP Ryne Tacker without needing a hit en route to a 6-1 victory Friday night.

Tacker (0-5) hit the first two batters he faced in the bottom of the 1st inning, then walked RF Scott Robinson and 3B Patrick Rose giving the Dust Devils a run without needing a hit.  Tacker then threw a wild pitch that allowed Wetzel to score, C John Bowden hit into a fielder's choice and the Dust Devils finished the inning with three runs - and did not need a hit to do it.

Tri City starter LHP Christian Friedrich struck out eight and kept the C's off the scoreboard through his six innings of work.  The C's managed just two hits of the 25th overall pick in the 2008 MLB draft.

Vancouver's lone run of the ballgame came in the top of the 7th inning when C Dante Love singled home SS Jason Christian making it 4-1.
