Bowie Baysox Defeat Reading Phillies 8-2 - AA, Eastern League

Reading, PA -- The Southern Division-leading Bowie Baysox won for the 17th time in 24 games Wednesday night, defeating the Phillies 8-2 at FirstEnergy Stadium.  
The Phillies' Adam Eaton (0-3) gave up six runs on seven hits, including two home runs by Steve Torrealba and another by Matt Wieters, the No. 1 prospect in the Orioles organization. Eaton, making his fourth start for the Phillies, struck out six, walked two and hit a batter in six innings.
 
For Bowie, Chris Tillman (9-4) made his fifth start against the Phillies his best.  He threw six shutout innings, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out eight.  One of the Orioles' top prospects, Tillman improved to 2-1 against the Phillies, with a 3.52 ERA.

The Phillies (49-81) got a home run from Joey Hammond and an RBI single from Luke Appert, who had three hits.  John Suomi went 2-for-3 with his first triple of the year.
 
Bowie improved to 77-54 and is 11-4 vs. the Phillies, who have lost eight straight and 17 of 19.
