MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -PORTLAND, Ore. – Thursday night’s game between the Portland Beavers and Tacoma Rainiers at PGE Park was suspended due to two different power outages that affected much of the surrounding area.

 Thursday’s game, which the Rainiers lead 9-2, will be resumed in the bottom of the seventh inning starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and will be followed by the regularly scheduled, nine-inning game. Gates open at 5 p.m.

 The Rainiers built a 9-2 advantage largely based on the efforts of Kevin Howard, who hit three home runs.

 The game was interrupted at 9:21 p.m. due to the first power outage. After a 24-minute delay, the teams resumed play, but a second outage occurred shortly after, and team officials made the decision to suspend the game at that point.
