Danville Braves Down Pulaski Mariners 9-6

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - PULASKI, Va.- Danville used a four run third inning to down the Pulaski Mariners 9-6 at Calfee Park on Sunday night.

The Mariners had tied the game at two in the second inning before the Braves took the lead for good in the four run frame. Danville (25-21) tallied single runs in the first and second before Pulaski (27-18) tied the game at two in their half of the second on a Dwight Britton two run home run.


The four run third by the Braves was highlight by two home runs as Gerado Rodriguez lifted a solo shot before L.V. Ware connected on a three run home run. Kris Sanchez led the Mariner attack with three hits, while Britton Juan Fuentes, Tommy Johnson, Gabriel Noriega, and Deybis Benitez each added two base knocks.

Benitez smacked a home run in the eighth. Ware and Jesus Sucre each had three hits for Danville, while Jon Gilmore added two hits. Randall Delgado picked up the victory for the Braves with Matthew Small earning the save. Kyle Hass suffered the loss for Pulaski.

The two teams close out their three game series on Monday night.
