MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Richmond, VA – The Durham Bulls beat the Richmond Braves 5-0 Monday at The Diamond.  Three Bulls pitchers combined to strand 12 Braves baserunners as the Bulls took the first of eight straight meetings between the clubs.

Durham scored two runs in the first inning, helped by an error and passed ball.  Ben Zobrist knocked in a run with a single and Justin Ruggiano chased a run in with a sacrifice fly.  The Bulls tacked on two more runs in the sixth.  Zobrist doubled a run in and Joel Guzman knocked in a run with a single.  The Bulls added one more run in the seventh on an RBI single by Fernando Perez.  Meanwhile the Braves left seven runners in scoring position.

Wade Davis tossed six scoreless innings to earn the win.  Matt DeSalvo took the loss.  Perez, Zobrist, and Chris Richard had three hits each for the Bulls.  Josh Anderson had three hits for the Braves.
