Cleveland Indians Announce Winter Ball Participants

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians will have 20 representatives, including 18 prospects and two coaches, throughout Major League Baseball’s Winter Leagues.

 

1B/OF JORDAN BROWN (Caracas), INF LUIS VALBUENA (Cardenales de Lara) and RHP HECTOR RONDON (Caracas) will all play within the Venezuelan League. Caracas will also have Field Coordinator DAVE HUDGENS and AAA Columbus Hitting Coach JON NUNNALLY as their manager and hitting coach, respectively.

 

Venezuela will have the most representatives (11), followed by Dominican Republic (5), Puerto Rico (2), with Mexico and Colombia rounding out the group (1 each).

INF ANDY MARTE, INF NIUMAN ROMERO, Rondon and Valbuena are all on the current 40-man roster, which stands at 36 active players and two on the 60-day disabled list.
