MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com-JACKSONVILLE, FL – In a press conference Wednesday afternoon, the Jacksonville Suns announced that they will host a Major League exhibition game featuring the Florida Marlins before the 2010 regular season.  The 2009 Southern League Champion Jacksonville Suns will take on the Florida Marlins in a special pre-season exhibition matchup at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 7:05PM.

Last season, the Suns were an integral part of the Marlins’ player development system.  A number of Suns made the jump to the Marlins roster over the course of the 2009 season, including Marlins starter Sean West.  The Suns were also proud to host several Major League rehabilitation assignments, including Marlins closer Matt Lindstrom and starters Anibal Sanchez and Andrew Miller.
