Winston-Salem Dash Announce 2010 Schedule
Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:34PM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -Winston-Salem, NC – The Winston-Salem Dash announced their 2010 schedule, which is highlighted by the opening of a new state-of-the-art downtown stadium. The ballpark will officially debut on Tuesday, April 13, when the Dash hosts the Potomac Nationals with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
Winston-Salem, which owns a Carolina League-best 11 championships, will launch its 2010 campaign on the road beginning April 8 with a four-game series against the Kinston Indians at Grainger Stadium. After a scheduled off day on April 12, the Dash will open the new downtown stadium with a six-game home stand from April 13-18, with a pair of three-game series against Potomac and Kinston.
The Dash play a 140-game schedule evenly split with 70 home and road contests. Game times for Dash home games on Monday – Saturday are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. with two exceptions. The games against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on Wednesday, May 19, and Kinston on Wednesday, July 28, will begin at 12 p.m. All Sunday home games are scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
“We reached out to our season ticket holders, sponsors and the community and asked for their input on the most convenient and preferred game times for the upcoming season,” said Dash team president Kevin Terry. “We implemented their feedback and chose game times that were most popular among our fans.”

Ticket packages, including the Carolina Plan, are currently on sale for the new downtown ballpark. The Carolina Plan is an all-you-can-eat ticket package that includes ballpark fare with chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and much, much more. This special deal also includes all the soda, lemonade and water you can drink at each game and provides an express line for fans to easily access their unlimited food and beverage. Over 4,100 ticket packages have already been sold, including the Founders Club, an exclusive club seating area that includes carving stations, salad bar, dessert treys, beer and wine and parking, which sold out in less than six weeks.
Packages range from the 17-game plan, or about 3 to 4 games a month, to the 35- and 70-game plans for dedicated baseball fans, small businesses or corporations looking to entertain clients, guests or show their employees how much they appreciate their hard work. It is only $10 to join the priority list and most Opening Day tickets for the new ballpark will be sold through these affordable plans that start as low as $153.
