Jacksonville Suns Blank West Tenn Diamond Jaxx 3-0 - Southern League

Jacksonville, Fla. – Sean West pitched six dominant innings in his
> second start, while the Jacksonville Suns (5-2) scattered three runs
> in a 3-0 Wednesday afternoon victory over the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx
> (4-3) in front of 3,618 at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

> West (1-1) pitched six scoreless innings for the victory, allowing
> two hits and two walks with nine strikeouts in his second Double-A
> outing. The six-foot-eight southpaw dealt 87 pitches with 55 strikes
> while continuing Jacksonville’s starting pitching streak of seven
> consecutive six-inning performances.

>
> Ricky Orta (0-1) fell in the loss for West Tenn after allowing two
> runs and five hits over four innings. The former Miami Hurricane
> walked four with six strikeouts.

> Chris Leroux (1) saved the game for Jacksonville, allowing only a
> ninth inning single in his lone inning of work.

> Jacksonville opened the scoring against Orta in the first inning as
