Lancaster JetHawks Beat Up On Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, Take 12-4 Win - Adv A, California League

Rancho Cucamonga, CA - Lancaster got to Quakes starter Tim Kiely in the top of the 1st inning, scoring three runs. Gabriel Suarez connected on an RBI double, Jason Castro delivered an RBI single, and with two outs, David Flores knocked in a run with a single to make the score 3-0.

The JetHawks kept the offense coming in the second inning, scoring four runs on a two-run triple by Gabriel Suarez, an RBI groundout from TJ Steele and a two-out RBI double by Koby Clemens to give Lancaster a 7-0 lead.

Lancaster would knock Tim Kiely from the game in the third inning after Chris Jackson doubled and JB Shuck singled with one out. Ryan Brasier came in relief and struck out Suarez and Steele, but Steele reached base on a wild pitch allowing Jackson to score from third to make the score 8-0 Lancaster .

Rancho finally got on the board in the 4th inning on a two-run home run by Julio Perez to bring the Quakes within six, 8-2. Lancaster would get a run back against Brasier in the 5th as Marcos Cabral tripled and Chris Jackson brought him home with an RBI single to bring the lead to 9-2.

The Quakes would mount a two-out rally in the bottom of the 6th as Efren Navarro singled, Jeremy Moore tripled and PJ Phillips singled to score two runs to make the score 9-4.

Rancho’s bullpen shut down the Lancaster offense from the 6th inning until the 9th when the JetHawks got three more runs. Jon Gaston hit a solo home run, and Cabral and Shuck added RBI doubles to take a 12-4 lead.
