Paul Clemens Goes Eight Strong Innings For Rome Braves In 2-1 Win Over Augusta GreenJackets

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -Rome, GA – The Rome Braves defeated the Augusta GreenJackets 2-1 in front of 2,154 fans at State Mutual Stadium Monday night in a pitchers duel.
The game was scoreless until the sixth inning when Augusta made it 1-0 on an RBI single by Andy D’Alessio. The Braves followed in the bottom of the inning and took the lead on a Gerry Rodriguez two run home run giving Rome the eventual 2-1 win.
Paul Clemens (4-3) earned the win pitching a stellar eight innings, giving up only four hits, and allowing only one run. Aaron King (3-5) takes the loss for Augusta going seven strong innings with four hits and two runs allowed. Jaye Chapman gets his seventh save of the season.
