MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com-Jolbert Cabrera's two-run double with two outs in the bottom of the 8th inning lifted Norfolk to a 5-3 win over Buffalo Wednesday night.

With the score knotted at 3-3 and runners on first and third, Cabrera lined a 3-1 offering from Connor Robertson (0-3) into the left-center field gap, plating Melvin Dorta and Jeff Fiorentino to give the Tides a 5-3 advantage. Cabrera's double extended his hitting streak to six games, and the 36-year-old infielder has hit .448 (13-for-29) with seven runs batted in over that stretch.

The Tides had led the contest 3-0 entering the 8th inning, but the Bisons plated three runs (two unearned) in the top of the frame off of Kam Mickolio (2-3) to tie the score.

Norfolk starter Bobby Livingston was extremely effective in his Harbor Park debut, as the 26-year-old left-hander allowed just five hits and one walk in seven shutout innings. Livingston struck out four and faced just two batters over the mininum over his final five innings of work and was economical on the mound, throwing 55 of his 79 pitches for strikes.

Jim Miller struck out two in a perfect ninth inning to register his league-leading 13th save of the season.

Justin Turner and Jeff Fiorentino each had two hits to pace Norfolk's eight-hit attack, while Oscar Salazar doubled to extend his hitting streak to 10 games.

The Tides and Bisons will square off again on Thursday afternoon, with first pitch from Harbor Park slated for 12:15. Chris Waters (6-2, 4.37) will take the mound for the Tides while Buffalo will counter with right-hander Brandon Knight (3-4, 4.47).
