Greenville Drive Turn Back Lexington Legends 4-1 - SALLY

GREENVILLE - Greenville starter Stolmy Pimentel and two relievers limited the
Lexington Legends to six hits as the Drive won 4-1 Sunday afternoon at
Applebee's Park.

Greenville took the lead in the third inning when David Mailman
tripled to left center field and scored on a sacrifice fly by Tim
Federowicz.  They added a run in the fourth when Ryan Lavarnway walked, went
to third on a single by Kade Keowen and came home on a sacrifice fly by
Mitch Dening.

Lexington scored its run in the bottom of the sixth.  With one out,
Eric Suttle doubled.  He scored on Steve Brown's two-out single.

The Drive added to their lead in the ninth.  Dening reached on an
error by shortstop Ronnie Ramirez.  Michael Almanzar followed with a single,
and Ryan Dent's sacrifice put runners at second and third.  Zach Gentile
then singled to center, scoring two runs.

Pimentel (4-3) got the win.  Armando Zerpa relieved in the sixth and pitched
two and two-thirds scoreless innings. Lance McLain worked the ninth to earn
his fourth save.  Lexington starter Ross Seaton (6-5) took the loss.  The
Legends will remain at home for a three-game series against Asheville.
First pitch Monday night is set for 7:05 p.m.
