The River Cats collected seven hits, batting around in the first inning. Eveland took things from there, allowing only two runs (both earned) over 7.0 innings for the victory. With the bases loaded and the tying run at the plate in the ninth, reliever Jeff Gray entered to allow a two-run single before recording the final two outs. Sacramento (35-22) maintains the top record in the Pacific Coast League with the victory, staying ahead of Colorado Springs (33-23).
