The Zephyrs have dropped three consecutive games and fall 4 ½ games back of first place Albuquerque.

Game Notes: The PCL named Willie Collazo pitcher of the week for this past week. The lefty made a pair of starts and allowed one run in 14 innings. It was the second time in his career that he won the award. The Z’s outfielder Michael Ryan made the most of his All-Star Apperance on Wednesday night in Portland. He doubled and scored a run in his only plate appearance. The Z’s added reliever Willie Glenn from Class AA Jacksonville on Thursday. Glenn was 2-7 with a 3.69 ERA in 14 starts with the Suns.

He said it: “We are ready for the season to resume, this is a critical stretch of the season with these four games against the division leader. My battery is recharged and I am ready to win some games.” Z’s pitcher Willie Collazo.

Coming Up: The Z’s begin a stretch of eight games against the first and second place teams in the division. Z’s and Isotopes meet Friday at 8:05 in Albuquerque. RH Hayden Penn (0-0, 4.50) will start for New Orleans against LH Eric Stults (1-1, 5.00)
