Dayton Dragons Score Early In 4-1 Win Over Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -Appleton, Wisc.—Cody Puckett lined a two-run double to the left field corner in the top of the first inning to give the Dayton Dragons all the runs they would need on the way to a 4-1 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Thursday night. The win was the Dragons fifth straight, giving them their longest winning streak since July of 2008.

Three Dragons pitchers combined to scatter eight hits. Reliever Andrew Bowman (2-6) was credited with the victory, going two and one-third innings, allowing one hit and no runs with three walks and four strikeouts. Aguido Gonzalez worked the final two innings to earn his 11th save.

Dragons outfielder Josh Fellhauer went 2 for 4, extending his hitting streak to 14 games to match the third longest hitting streak in franchise history.

In his second straight start, Dragons pitcher J.C. Sulbaran left early due to a blister problem on the index finger of his pitching hand. Sulbaran left the game with two outs and two strikes in the fifth inning, one strike short of qualify for a victory.
