Carolina Mudcats Rally For 4-3 Comeback Win Over Chattanooga Lookouts

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -Chattanooga, TN --- Todd Frazier and Zack Cozart homered to lead Carolina to a comeback 4-3 victory over Chattanooga at AT&T Field on Thursday night.

Trailing 3-0 in the fourth, Frazier drilled a Chick (L, 6-3) curveball off of the left field scoreboard to draw the Mudcats (3-8) within 3-1. In the sixth with Chick still in the game, Sean Henry tripled and scored on a groundout by Jose Castro. After an error kept the inningalive before Cozart crushed a 3-1 pitch over the left field wall to give Carolina a 4-3 advantage.

Jordan Smith (W, 5-3) earned his first win since May 24th, working five innings, permitting three runs - all in the first inning. Smith, Philippe Valiquette, Sean Watson and Logan Ondrusek (S, 3) combined to shut out the Lookouts (5-6) on five hits over the final eight innings.

Logan Parker had a pair of doubles, while Jose Castro singled twice and drove in a run to assist the Carolina offense.

Carolina, trailing the six-game series 3-2, plays the final game of the set Friday night at 6:15 PM ET with Travis Wood pitching against JD Durbin.
