Rome Braves Blank Charleston RiverDogs, 2-0

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -Rome, GA – The Rome Braves defeated the Charleston RiverDogs 2-0 Monday night in front of 2,053 fans at State Mutual Stadium to take game one of a three game set.

Rome posted two runs on the board in the third inning. Ryan Barba led off with a double down the left field line and Joel Campusano added a double of his own to plate Barba. Adam Milligan would then single to score Campusano for the 2-0 Braves lead.

As it turned out those two runs would be all Rome needed. Dimasther Delgado (5-6) pitched seven strong innings giving up just two hits, walking three, while striking out seven after pitching a no hitter through six. The bullpen would then come in and close the game out. Dan Kapala (6-2) takes the loss for Charleston and Angelo Paulino (2) earns the save.
