Jacksonville Suns Fall 4-2 To Chattanooga Lookouts

 

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -Chattanooga, Tenn. – Tommy Giles hit a seventh inning, two-run homerun to give the Chattanooga Lookouts (54-57, 24-18) the lead for good20in a 4-2 victory over the Jacksonville Suns (63-49, 28-14) in front of 4,267 Friday night at AT&T Field.

Lookouts reliever Javy Guerra (2-0) picked up the victory, allowing a run and four hits with a walk and two strikeouts over two innings. Suns reliever Levale Speigner (0-1) fell in the loss, giving up the Giles homerun. Harvey Garcia (1) saved the game with two scoreless innings.

Jacksonville took the lead in the fourth inning as pitcher Nic Ungs singled home Matt Dominguez for a 1-0 lead. The Lookouts tied the game in the fifth inning with an unearned run against Ungs. Lucas May scored on a two-out Adam Godwin double for a 1-1 score.

The Suns regained the lead in the sixth inning against Lookouts reliever Javy Guerra. Brad Davis led off with a single and later scored on a Bryan Peter sen two-out hit for a 2-1 score.

Chattanooga gained the lead for good in the seventh inning against Suns reliever Levale Speigner. Russell Mitchell singled with one out followed by a Tommy Giles two-run homerun to right-centerfield, opening a 3-2 Lookouts lead.

The Lookouts added a final run in the eighth inning on a two-out Andrew Lambo double, scoring Ramon Nivar in the first earned run charged to Suns reliever Kasey Olenberger since May 11.
