Jamie Tucker of Vancouver Giants Named CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Jamie Tucker of the Vancouver Giants is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a shutout in his WHL debut on Saturday.Tucker, a 17-year-old from Victoria, B.C., turned aside all 30 shots that he faced to back the Giants to a 4-0 road win over the Everett Silvertips. The fourth round pick by the Giants in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft was named third star in the game for his efforts.
Nicolas Champion of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan was the QMJHL nominee after going 2-0-0-0 with a 1.50 goals against
average and .955 save percentage in two starts last week while Andrew Engelage of the Windsor Spitfires was the OHL nominee after starting the season with a 2-0-0-0 record to go along with a 2.50 goals against average and .902 save percentage.
